Dave has been teaching for NOLS since 2000. He teaches all course types for NOLS Wilderness Medicine and Risk Services, and thoroughly enjoys it. Seeing students leave with new skills and feeling empowered to use them is what motivates Dave to continue to teach. He has worked for NOLS on 3 different continents and hopes to add a 4th or 5th sometime soon! Through his company Ready SF, Dave has sponsored over 100 courses for NOLS Wilderness Medicine in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ready SF also provides emergency preparedness training for schools and organizations in the Bay Area as well as risk management consulting. When not teaching, Dave loves to spend time with his two beautiful daughters. He can often be found on or in water or pursuing other activities on bike, foot, or skis.
