Abraham "Abe" Lara

NOLS Wilderness Medicine Instructor

Abraham "Abe" Lara

Originally from El Paso, TX and part of a large family, I joined the military straight out of high school initiating a series of events that brought me to where I am today. After 12 honorable years of service between two branches (USAF / USN) and multiple deployments, I decided to embrace the dirtbag lifestyle and do van life. After building out "Vanny DeVito," I traveled all over the country climbing, skydiving, and snowboarding (preferably all in the same day). Needless to say I fell in love with the outdoors. Along the way I met a NOLS Wilderness Medicine instructor and knew that was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I haven't looked back since. "Ichi-go Ichi-e"
