Hidden deep in the Wind River Range, above jumbled moraine and glacial ice, Gannett Peak is Wyoming’s highest peak.

Reaching this remote 13,804-foot summit requires you to hike in on trails for several days, followed by the climb itself. You’ll travel on snow and ice, cross Dinwoody Glacier, and work up rock, ice, or snow to the summit. This trip will prepare you for the challenges of the route and is suitable for first time mountaineers and experienced climbers alike.

This expedition is a perfect opportunity to put your NOLS camping and travel skills back to work in a stunningly beautiful environment. Bring your camera—the vista from the "Top of Wyoming" is beyond compare.

Overall Difficulty*:

*Long hikes, full packs, and steep terrain make this trip a challenge.
