Teton Valley Spring Break Backcountry Touring - 18 to 22 only

Teton Valley Spring Break Backcountry Touring - 18 to 22 only

Make your spring break an adventure

Feel cold air on your face as you slice through fresh snow. Dive into an unforgettable adventure far from crowded resorts: backcountry skiing or snowboarding in the Rockies. Leave your busy schedule behind to make your own tracks in untouched powder. Along the way, learn avalanche assessment and the art of winter camping.

On this course, you’ll build the foundational skiing, camping, and risk management skills you need to explore the mountains in winter. During the day, find new slopes to ski or snowboard. Work hard and have fun in a beautiful and demanding environment. Learn about snow science and practice assessing avalanche hazards with your team. At night, enjoy the quiet of a winter night full of stars before crawling into a snug snow shelter you built yourself.

As you gain confidence in your backcountry skills, you’ll also develop your leadership skills. Practice effective communication and decision-making while traveling through snowy valleys and high ridges. Learn how to manage a group and get comfortable taking on different roles within a team. Make this spring break something to remember—and return home with real-world leadership experience as well as lasting memories.
