Paddle your way to adventure

On this course, you’ll learn everything you need to know about canoeing and camping. Every day you’ll explore new lakes and rivers, see fish swimming on the bottom of clear lakes and beavers building dams. At night you’ll pull ashore and set up your own camp, making dinner with your friends and getting a lesson in the area’s ecology and history. Whether it’s your first time camping or you’ve camped before, this course has something for you.

It’ll be about more than canoeing. Your instructors will teach you about leadership, and you’ll practice different skills to find your own leadership style. You and your peers will take turns leading the group to learn about teamwork and communication. These are skills you can use in any team or project you join. Some days will be challenging, and some will be easier, but it’s probably the challenging days you’ll remember the most—the ones when you surprise yourself with what you and your team can do. Make your summer more than a vacation and go explore the Adirondacks.
