Stephan grew up in Austria, where he currently works as an instructor and guide for a few different organizations. When he is not teaching for NOLS Wilderness Medicine or working with youth in the Alps, Stephan enjoys hiking, backcountry skiing, and climbing– and most of all trips that include all three.
