Philip Hart is a WEMT, river guide trainer and trip leader working with Landmark Learning. He is also training officer for Swain County Rescue Squad, a member of the counties swiftwater rescue team and a member of North Carolina Urban Search and Rescue Task Force Team One. He has been a first responder with EMS in North Carolina since 1985. Phil settled in western North Carolina after indulging his wanderlust by solo through hiking the Appalachian Trail and sailing the Atlantic & Caribbean with his wife and son. NREMT-B, WEMT, N.C.
