Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician

Marjorie Mazie

Since 1991 Mazie has spent much of her time working with service learning and wilderness therapy programs. She also managed a women’s health clinic and worked for 12 years as an EMT. Mazie has been happily teaching for NOLS Wilderness Medicine since 2004. Her students have described her as a 6 ft. personality in a 4 ft. 10in. body. She lives in the mountains near Leavenworth, WA with her wife and their monster of a dog, Pi. When not working Mazie splits lots of wood, brews lots of beer, shovels lots of snow and grows a bunch of food. She is currently training to become a falconer. Her next personal growth endeavor is to gain 5 vertical inches via an inversion table.
