Laura loves exploring wild places, appreciating beautiful views, and sharing these experiences with others—and is grateful to do all three as a field instructor. She first experienced NOLS as a Wind River Range backpacking student in 2015 and then, in a full circle moment, took her Instructor Course back in the Winds in 2023. She lives in Northern California where she spends most of her time trail running and backcountry skiing with friends (or looking at maps with friends to brainstorm future trips). In the backcountry, you'll find her cooking spicy peanut noodles out of the ration kit and taking photos with a disposable camera.
