Jackson hails from the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. Having picked up ski patrolling during college at a small local resort in order to finagle a free season pass, he quickly found a passion for on-slope patient care. This unexpected discovery pushed him to pursue first his WRF and then a WEMT, both with Landmark Learning. After years of dabbling here and there in the outdoor industry, Jackson landed in north Lake Tahoe at Northstar California Resort where he now works year-round ski patrol and bike patrol. Still hungry to continue his development in emergency medical care, he attended the NOLS Wilderness Medical instructor training course and is stoked to teach and learn!
