A NOLS instructor since 1996, Doug has led sea kayaking alumni trips in Alaska, Maine, the Bahamas and the Everglades and is constantly inspired by the stories and skills of alumni. Douglas lives in Massachusetts with his wife and in recent years has been growing organic vegetables and herbs for farmers markets, restaurants and caterers to diversify the family's cranberry farm. He also runs sea kayak trips for other non-profits and town recreation departments and plays upright bass in a working band.
