David loves sharing adventures and learning about the natural world with students and co-instructors. He works hard so all can have these experiences in our public lands. He grew up in Issaquah WA, just outside of Seattle and enjoys exploring the foothills of the cascades and the liquid sunshine in the northwest. At Gonzaga University he studied Environmental Studies and Business Administration. He also helped shape the school's outdoor program and discovered the joy of taking others outside. David has been an instructor for NOLS since 2013. When not instructing NOLS courses David enjoys working at the YMCA, teaching classes at REI, volunteering with the local Search and Rescue team and working with Issaquah Alps Trail Club.
