Caroline Dayton

Caroline Dayton was born in Minneapolis, MN She attended the University of Virginia (B.A., History) and The Sotheby’s Institute in London (M.A., Contemporary Art History). She completed a NOLS backpacking course (Australia) between college and graduate school in the summer of 2007. After a brief stint in the art world she moved to Sun Valley, ID for a decade spent hiking, skiing, and soaking up every aspect of mountain life. There she became a certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor and worked at Swiftsure Ranch in Bellevue, ID, predominantly with kids and young adults with mental and emotional challenges. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Environmental Resource Center in Ketchum, ID— an organization that provides environmental education and inspires action. She also served on the Board of the Langwater Foundation, a private grant making foundation, where she served as President from 2012-2016.

Recently Caroline has relocated back to Minnesota where she completed a M.A. in Holistic Health Studies from St. Catherine University in 2021. She loves spending as much time outdoors as possible with her husband, their new baby girl, and enthusiastic hiking pups.
