Anne grew up in Minnesota and began her career in outdoor education in 2004 as an intern for the Voyageur Outward Bound School. In 2009 she began working for NOLS and spent the next nine years instructing field courses all over the U.S, and the world. She is a backpacking, mountaineering, climbing, whitewater canoe, and winter instructor. While at NOLS she also spent time as a program supervisor and worked in the field staffing office.
