Salmon River Adventure

This two-week course for 14–15 year olds will explore the Main Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho. You will navigate the Salmon's whitewater in kayaks, paddle rafts and oar rigs. On the water you'll learn strokes, commands, guiding basics, and advanced maneuvering. The Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness is home to abundant wildlife, including gray wolves, peregrine falcons, black bears, and bald eagles. This adventure course will coincide with lower water, making it an ideal classroom for new boaters. The beautiful setting will allow for camping on sandy beaches and even visiting natural hot springs right at the river’s edge.
