Trinity School Leadership Expedition

The Trinity School Leadership Expedition is an 8-day, field-based training for the Trinity School. Your course will take place in the southeastern Utah desert and will have a strong focus on being an adaptable team member or having the ability to distinguish between the roles of “team member” (active follower) and “team leader” (designated leader). During this course, you will:

• Explore the natural and human history of the Ancestral Puebloans (ruins, granaries, religious sites) in the southeastern Utah desert.
• Have the opportunity to exercise individual decision-making while facilitating great teamwork.
• Learn and develop both technical wilderness skills and interpersonal skills. The combination will allow you to function effectively as a group in the powerful and dynamic landscape.
• Be coached by NOLS Instructors through the course in a way that minimizes stress while focusing on peak performance. You will also learn and practice backpacking and hiking techniques.
• Traverse our route through trails, steep hillsides, open steppe, thick vegetation, and river bottoms.
