STEP Leadership Expedition

The STEP/NOLS Leadership Expedition is a 23-day, sea kayaking expedition for STEP students in Prince William Sound, AK. Alaska is home to incredible fjords, forested coastlines, and high arctic tundra. You will see much of this beautiful state as you explore by sea kayak. Prince William Sound, where your expedition takes place, offers a spectacular and varied natural history; it is a place for observation, exploration, and discovery.

On your expedition you will: 

  • Learn and develop wilderness and interpersonal skills. 
  • Have the opportunity to exercise group and individual decision-making while facilitating great teamwork. 
  • Build relationships with your NOLS instructors, who will coach and support you throughout the expedition.
