Columbia MBA Leadership Expedition

Join NOLS for the Columbia MBA Leadership Expedition, a transformative 10-day backpacking expedition in Patagonia!

Your expedition will travel through one of the world’s most awe-inspiring and remote landscapes, one of the many beautiful mountain ranges in southern Chile. These rugged ranges provide breathtaking vistas of sharp spires and mountain massifs draped with hanging glaciers. As you navigate the wild terrain of Patagonia, you’ll learn how to lead in challenging, dynamic environments. At night, you’ll set up camp, cook meals on lightweight camp stoves, and live in a small, tight-knit community.

Your expedition will focus on developing teamwork and leadership skills along with technical outdoor living skills. You’ll start with the basics; camp stove cooking, setting up tents, map and compass navigation, Leave No Trace practices, and hiking techniques. From there, you’ll move into more advanced skills like risk management and decision-making, all while sharpening your leadership abilities. Your NOLS instructors will provide coaching and give you space to learn and grow as individuals and a team.
