ASCANs Go Camping

Eighteen NASA astronaut candidates (ASCANs) are out in the Winds honing their their leadership and expedition behavior skills as part of the continuing partnership between NOLS and NASA. More than half of all astronauts are NOLS grads completing a custom 12 day course specially designed by NOLS Professional Training for NASA.
The ASCANs will be back in town on the September 22. They will be doing a presentation for NOLS staff and friends on the 23rd at 815 AM in the Alumni Lounge. It will be great to hear their NOLS stories!
