Liza Howard Clocked 2nd Fastest Woman on Trail

Liza Being a nurse, a mom, a wife, and a NOLS/WMI instructor is apparently not challenge enough for Liza Howard. Last weekend, she blazed by all the women and all but one man competing in the 18th annual Rocky Raccoon 100, held in Huntsville State Park in Texas. “Howard’s 15:45:03 was easily strong enough for second overall and her
time is the second fastest female time in course history,” wrote Dave Hanenburg of www.endurancebuzz.com. Check out Liza’s interview with Endurance Planet, where she gives props to NOLS and WMI. Apparently, Liza was once considered an underdog, and was not even on the ultra-marathon radar. But she is on NOLS’ radar now! Stay tuned as we keep track of her at this summer’s Western States 100, where she is considered a favorite.
