America’s Great Outdoors Coming to Lander in August
Last spring, NOLS Executive Director John Gans made a visit to the White House for a Conference on America’s Great Outdoors in Washington, DC. To follow up on the themes discussed during that Conference is a public forum that will take place right here in Lander, Wyoming.
On August 25, 2010, NOLS, the Outdoor Industry Association, Trout Unlimited, Teton Science Schools, Central Wyoming College, and Wyoming State Parks are hosting the Central Wyoming Forum on America’s Great Outdoors. If you’ll be around, head out to voice your opinions on questions posed by the Obama administration on reconnecting people with the outdoors and restoring and conserving our open spaces. Responses will be compiled into a report destined for the President’s desk.
