NOLS Hosts First Bilingual Risk Management Training

NOLS Professional Training just finished running our first ever bilingual Risk Management Training (RMT), including translating all 100+ pages of our training documents and exercises into Mandarin Chinese for Outward Bound Taiwan.

Teaching with the assistance of translators, NOLS RMT instructors shared lessons learned in programmatic risk management, from insurance to legal issues to staffing concerns. Participants learned from role playing and comparing different practices in their organizations. Hats off to the Outward Bound Taiwan staff at the Aspire Park Headquarters, who set up a very well-organized conference for a diverse group of outdoor professionals!
