Lauren Nord

Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician

Lauren Nord

With an upbringing analogous to the '90's movie Clueless, it took a large amount of High Sierra granite to knock Lauren out of the valley and into the field of outdoor education. As an incoming college student, UC Santa Cruz Wilderness Orientation inspired her to GO OUTSIDE and she's never really come back in. Lauren packs her spring and summer seasons instructing river rafting, rock climbing, and mountaineering courses for the Northwest Outward Bound School in Oregon. She also guides river trips on the Grand Canyon and directs UCSC Wilderness Orientation. In her off-season, Lauren returns to California to surf and teach for NOLS Wilderness Medicine.
