EMT - more info... |
|
This intensive option integrates an EMT-Basic course and a Wilderness Upgrade for Medical Professionals course into a single month-long program. Please note:
Students must be 18 years of age before the course start date. Students must also have a current healthcare provider level CPR (most commonly called CPR for the Professional Rescuer or BLS Heathcare Provider CPR) and a TB test completed within 1 year of the last day of the course.

| Wilderness EMT "3 + 1" Format |
The WEMT “3 + 1” format is a combination of a three-week urban EMT intensive program followed by a 5 day Wilderness Upgrade for Medical Professionals (WUMP) course. Students may participate in one or both sections of the program. The EMT intensive is taught by instructors from Landmark Learning and North Carolina EMS, the Wilderness Upgrade for Medical Professionals course is taught by WMI of NOLS. http://www.landmarklearning.org/ |
