Jen Sallwick

Jen Sallwick is the Interim Vice President of Expeditions. Jen first took a NOLS Semester in Kenya in 1999, wanting to develop skills for her personal outdoor adventures. The positive learning environment and investment in individual growth that NOLS fostered for students led her to take an field instructor course in 2002. While working in the field for a number of years, her favorite part was helping facilitate students overcoming challenges and personal limits, being part of powerful, cohesive teams, and watching a decades worth of personal growth in 30-days outside. Since then, Jen has served in a number of roles for NOLS, including NOLS Three Peaks Ranch Director, the Rocky Mountain Campus Director, Expeditions Director and now as the interim Vice President of Expeditions. Jen’s favorite thing to do is spend time with and learn from her two kids at every chance she gets.
