Eric Schwartz

Eric Ian Schwartz is a seasoned life sciences executive, having recently served as executive vice president & chief legal officer of Integra LifeSciences, a global leader in surgical, neurologic, and regenerative medical technology. Prior to Integra, Eric worked as the general counsel of several other public and private companies. Eric also served as COO of CardioVIP, provider of a technology-enabled clinical management platform for patients with cardiovascular disease; and as assistant general counsel at Johnson & Johnson. Eric is passionate about building and motivating collaborative, high-performing teams and has been responsible for overseeing legal, M&A/corporate development, operations, finance, regulatory affairs, compliance, ESG, and general management functions.

Eric has served on the boards and chaired fundraising campaigns at several non-profit organizations, including ImpactIsrael, which supports educational programs for at-risk children in Israel; Jewish Relief Agency, which serves low-income families across Greater Philadelphia; and Bodanna, a social venture offering apprenticeships in the ceramic arts to young adults from low-income communities in New York City.

Eric received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He successfully completed a NOLS Wind River Mountaineering Course in 1995. Eric lives in Philadelphia with his wife Rachel Newman and their three children – including son Oscar (20), a fellow NOLS graduate.
