Betsy Jaffe
Advisory Council Member
Betsy serves as Executive Director of Development at the Keck School
of Medicine of USC. Betsy works with philanthropic leaders to advance academic medicine at USC in areas to include cancer research, women’s health, emergency medicine, among others. Betsy has worked in the nonprofit sector for close to 30 years supporting educational initiatives, civic engagement, arts, and now healthcare. She loves her work because it engages problem solving and partnership- skills she strengthened on her NOLS mountaineering course. She lives in LA and is a proud parent to her two sons- both USC students, one now an alum working in sustainable energy. She has volunteered as a coach for Girls on the Run, Heal the Bay, as well as trained with Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project. As an urban dweller- Betsy is always eager to get into the mountains!
