River Conservation Leadership Expedition
The River Conservation Leadership Expedition is a 6-day, rafting expedition for the University of Colorado Boulder, on the Green River. Specifically you will paddle the Gates of Ladore section of the Green River.
The Green River, which flows through Colorado and Utah, is an ideal classroom because of its progression of difficulty, allowing you to develop your skills in a secure and confident manner.
Utah’s canyon country is a land of towering cliffs and quiet valleys. You’ll travel by raft through this vast wilderness, learning how to live, camp, and travel down a big Western river.
You will learn and develop both technical wilderness skills and interpersonal skills. The combination will allow you to function effectively as a group in the powerful and dynamic landscape.
This course will also provide opportunities for self-reflection as you decompress from a busy academic year.
