Team Lady Intern
NOLS Rocky Mountain Interns here, reporting for duty! All three of us arrived about a week ago and are collectively thrilled to be in Lander. We’re the first all female intern team to come through the RM in quite a few years, or so we’re told, and we’re ready to get down to business. Here’s a little bit about each of our fabulous selves:
Hidey ho, my name is Kate Barrett (far left) and I hail from Denver, Colorado. I like long walks up mountains and think snot rockets are extremely romantic gestures. My two biggest weaknesses are clean socks and back country cinnamon rolls with extra-melty brown sugar. They’re mm, mm good (the rolls, not the socks). I look forward to learning everything I can about NOLS Rocky Mountain this summer and to all the adventures along the way!
Oh hey there! I’m Shannon (upside down), one of the new NOLS Rocky Mountain interns! I’m really excited to be here in Lander. It’s a totally different scene from my home town, Chicago. Everyone knows each other, there’s one main street, and there are people trying to sell llamas on the local listserve! It already looks like this summer will be filled with some really cool projects, lots of climbing, and general ruckus.
Hey, I’m Adrienne Spiegel (far right), and after a 10-day drive from New Jersey I’m psyched about being in Lander this summer. I’ll follow Kate’s lead and introduce myself with two quick lists. Good stuff: rocks and trees, rugby, green olives. Less cool: national grasslands, four-season tents, the Red Sox. Looking forward to hanging out here with NOLS folk and putting up some good posts. That’s all for now!
