Spaces for Fall Semester

All of us at NOLS have been closely following the events unfolding in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Our thoughts are with every person who has been adversely affected by this tragedy.

We have begun hearing from a number of college students who have been displaced as a result of the hurricane. We have some additional space available for this fall. There are a few spaces available on our Sonoran Semester starting on October 3 and on our Patagonia Semester beginning on October 8.

At this point we have enrolled several students from Tulane University. We aren’t sure how Tulane will handle the University of Utah credit that these students will earn for their NOLS course, but it appears that the university will be fairly liberal in their review of credits earned this fall. This is from Tulane’s temporary website:

Tulane University will accept credit for all courses with a passing grade from regionally accredited universities; such credit will be applied to a student’s Tulane course of study. We encourage all Tulane students to enroll in courses that they might have enrolled in at Tulane, but equivalent or near equivalent courses will also count to degree progress.
