Riverbank Clean Up Tomorrow!

Just a reminder to you all out there–the NOLS Rocky Mountain and the NOLS Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability interns have teamed up to bring Earth Month to Lander. Our kick-off event will be held tomorrow, Saturday, April 10th, at the City Park. We’d love for any Lander city residents to join us at 10 am in cleaning up the banks of the Popo Agie River along with the City and McManus Parks.

Hopefully, the sunshine and warm weather will be enough to get folks out and active in the community, but we’ve got a little extra incentive, too. Join us for a celebration barbecue at 1 pm after the clean up. We’ll have burgers, hot dogs and veggie patties from Mr. D’s, veggie subs from The Breadboard, chips from Pamida, salad and breadsticks from Tony’s Pizza, and cookies from Mr. D’s and The Breadboard for dessert. All accompanied by music from some of our awesome local Lander musicians.

Meet us at the back pavilion in the City Park with your gloves, water bottle, layers for the weather, and plate and utensils for the barbecue. We’d love it if you would try to walk or bike to the event, too, so we can minimize our impact and enjoy Springtime!

Thank you in advance for your help and support!
