NOLS Partners with Banff Centre in 2016

Courtsey of Banff Centre.pngLANDER, WY—The National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) is excited to announce its sponsorship with the Banff Centre, Canada’s leading arts and cultural organization.

As part of this partnership, NOLS will be a sponsor of both the the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival as well as the Banff Adventure Filmmakers’ Workshop.

The 41st Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival will include nine days of stories of profound journeys, unexpected adventures and ground breaking expeditions from October 29 to November 6, 2016 in Banff, Alberta. NOLS will partner with other outdoor industry leaders to support the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival this year, which is the world’s leading mountain and adventure festival. The films will encourage outdoor enthusiasts to share and find inspiration in mountain experiences.

Concurrently, the Banff Adventure Filmmakers’ Workshop, is also from October 29 through November 7, 2016 and provides creative guidance for filmmakers to work on a project of their choice.

Immediately following the festival, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will kick off and showcase 30 of the best films to audiences across the globe. The films will tour from November 15, 2016 through October 25, 2017. Banff’s World Tour will host over 450 film screenings in 230 cities.Check the World Tour page for listings on festival screenings in your area.
