NOLS One of Nation’s Best Nonprofits to Work For

NOLS 2013Lander, Wyo.—The NonProfit Times released its fourth annual list of the nation’s top nonprofit organizations to work early this month, and for the second year in a row the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) was included on that list.

Of the 50 nonprofits recognized by the NonProfit Times, NOLS was named 22nd overall and 12th among medium sized organizations. The NonProfit Times survey is designed to identify and honor the best nonprofit organizations in the nation.

“Organizations that make the list have been successful in creating unique cultures where employees love to come to work,” said Peter Burke, president of Best Companies Group, which prepared the company rankings.

“We are please to once again be recognized by the NonProfit Times,” NOLS Executive Director John Gans said upon hearing the news. “We are lucky to have an important mission and fortunate to attract and retain a motivated and inspiring staff.”

NOLS has, over the last several years, been named to numerous lists of premier employers, including Outside Magazine’s best places to work list every year of its existence.
