NOLS Directors Tour Johnson Space Center

Rick Rochelle, NOLS Professional Training Director, and John Kanengieter, NOLS Director for Leadership, just returned from a series of meetings with the personnel in Johnson Space Center in Huston, TX to discuss the future of expeditionary training for astronauts.

“This kind of training is important because we are not just talking theory, but giving the astronauts a chance to get out there as a team, to see how they interact and work together under stress and fatigue,” Kanengieter said.

To date, NOLS has educated over 130 NASA Astronauts and continues to discuses how to optimize team formation on the International Space Station

As part of the trip, Rick and John toured space shuttle and International Space Station simulators.
