NOLS Celebrates 50 Years
The National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) is delighted to celebrate 50 years in the company of passionate, dedicated members of the outdoor industry. Many of the people who attend the Outdoor Retailer Market have a NOLS diploma or NOLS connection. These are the people who have made our first 50 years possible.
In the summer of 1965, the first group of NOLS students embarked on an adventure of a lifetime. Since that day, the school has continued to train people to be skilled outdoor leaders and educators, all the while growing in exciting ways. Today, NOLS operates in 14 incredible locations around the world including wilderness medicine and custom courses through the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute and NOLS Professional Training.
NOLS is proud to be counted in the company of the growing industry and looks forward to the next 50 years of wilderness education.
To celebrate with us, stop by the NOLS booth (A114) at 4 p.m. on Aug. 6, or head to NOLS Headquarters in Lander, Wyoming, Oct. 8–10.
