NOLS Bus Climate Change Tour
On Wednesday October 4th, The NOLS Veggie Oil Bus made its way to St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis, Maryland. With the help of St. Mary’s Environmental Club, the bus crew taught and promoted the ” Creating a Climate for Change” Campaign. Outside the Bus, NOLS staff instructed students of St. Mary’s in how the Bus’ vegetable oil conversation tank works. The bus utilizes a grease waste product as a fuel source and through its use reduces climate change through cutting back carbon emission. These students learned the value of alternative energy and how they can incorporate it into their own lives starting their own grass roots campaigns. Meanwhile students inside the bus receive the interactive NOLS experience through video presentations and Q& A sessions about the unique outdoor education opportunities NOLS offers through its courses.
Once again the NOLS bus excels at spreading the NOLS message of educating people everywhere about the importance of Climate Change reduction and the shift toward a better future.
