Lifetime TV, Here We Come!

The Balancing Act
What’s better than telling millions of high school and college-aged youth about NOLS? How about telling their moms? This week, in an efforts to reach the decisionmakers in the family—working moms—NOLS appeared on The Parent Teacher Corner of Lifetime TV’s morning talk show, The Balancing Act.

On Monday, NOLS Admissions and Marketing Director Bruce Palmer and I (yes, folks, that’s me—”the third wheel” in the photo above) flew out from wintery Wyoming to balmy Pompano Beach, Florida to attend the taping the show.

Bruce and Makeup Not only did this give us an opportunity to reach out to 6 million working moms, but it gave Bruce the opportunity to get his make-up done and have an on-camera date with the scintillating Beth Troutman! The best part is, Beth is a UNC grad (we have tons of NOLS grads from UNC due to our relationship with the Morehead-Cain Scholars program) and knows about NOLS, so the on-camera chemistry was amazing to watch. Two takes later, and we were good to go.

The NOLS segment which will tentatively air on April 19 and May 3 from 7 to 8 am. Stay tuned for more details, including a link to the segment when we go live.
