Jonathan Kleisner Elected to the National Outdoor Leadership School’s Board of Trustees
Lander, WY. Walton resident and New York City trader and fund manager Jonathan Kleisner has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the prestigious National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), the world’s leader in wilderness education. Kleisner took NOLS’ Patagonia Backpacking and Fly-Fishing Course in 2006, and Mt. Rainier Alumni climb in 2008. Kleisner also served as a member of the NOLS Advisory Council from 2008-2010.
Kleisner is Principal and Managing Director of Investment Strategies for The REX Capital Group, a group of commodity-based hedge funds in New York City. He is a member of the Intercontinental Exchange, a registered Principal, Associated Person, and Floor Trader with the National Futures Association, as well as a Floor Broker, Commodity Trading Advisor and Commodity Pool Operator. Kleisner also serves as a member of the board of directors of ICE Clear US Inc. (NYSE:ICE). As a financial guru, Kleisner often appears as a guest on CNBC.

Outside the financial world, Kleisner is pursuing a second career in urban medicine. He is a certified New York State EMT and volunteers on New York City ambulance crews. When not on the trading floor or riding ambulances, Kleisner can be found with his wife and two sons at their farm in the western Catskills, tending to his apiaries (beehives), training as a triathlete, and fly fising in thee nearby trout waters of the Delaware, Willowemoc, and Beaverkill rivers.
