Jay Parker Implements NOLS Training

We recently heard from Alaska Semester graduate Jay Parker about his experience in the NOLS Risk Management Training. He attended the training to improve his risk management practices at his company, Mountain Element. Here is what he had to say:

“The Risk Management Training was so well done; it is vintage NOLS! Our instructor, David Yacubian, was fun, clear, knowledgeable, and clearly an expert. Risk management can be a very overwhelming term, not to mention an overwhelming process. If it had not been for this course I would be completely lost as I build my adventure company, Mountain Element.

While the training gave me the tools to start building a more thorough short-term and long-term risk management plans, I am also thankful that I found a group of outdoor companies and organizations that are committed to educating the public about risk management.”
