Drum Circle on NOLS RM’s Front Lawn

Students from the Fort Washakie Charter High School, a unique school blending traditional and modern teaching techniques for Native Americans, departed Wednesday on a weeklong course in the Wind River Range. This is a special course for these students because it gives many of them the opportunity to explore the land that their ancestors came from.  The students and staff all gathered on the front lawn for a ceremonial drum circle and a blessing led by the elders of the tribe.NOLS staff and students sent off with a blessing
