Offered in conjunction with the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency (HAEMR) since 2006, Medicine in the Wild provides you an unparalleled opportunity to gain proficiency in wilderness medicine, leadership, wilderness travel, teaching techniques, and environmental health policy.
No other medical school elective offers this breadth of curriculum on a true extended wilderness expedition. The elective includes a one week classroom section and a three week wilderness expedition in New Mexico’s Gila Wilderness.
