Kris Salisbury

Wilderness First Responder

Kris Salisbury

Introduced to the outdoors before she could walk, Kris loves to return the favor to young people, especially girls. She has been working with teens in the outdoors for 20 years and earned her MA to pursue her passion for creating transformation through the use of wilderness. Kris was introduced to wilderness medicine in 1999. She became involved with NOLS Wilderness Medicine because she appreciates NOLS Wilderness Medicine's educational philosophy and experiential methods. When she has a break and is not building her house, she heads out to climb, backpack, paddle and play! When she grows up, she aspires to be a vagabond and wandering throughout the rest of the world.
