Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Jessica wasn’t introduced to the outdoor industry until college, where she received a B.S. in Recreation & Tourism at Winona State University. She went on to guide for wilderness therapy and commercial tourism companies, quickly learning that the most memorable experiences always involve some sort of chaos. Her favorite misadventures so far have included getting stuck during a simul-rappel in the San Rafael Swell, being stranded for two days in the Misty Fjords, and almost sliding off a mountain in Iceland. After completing a NOLS WFR course, in case of a real emergency, Jessica then decided to move to Lander in December 2017 to help others reach their goals of getting outside and to spread the word of risk management, of course.
