Day grew up in Detroit, Michigan but has spent the last decade plus exploring Los Angeles. She is a naturalist, wildlife photographer, minimalist, environmental educator, and outdoor leader. She loves exploring the wilderness, taking long road trips, and photographing flora and fauna. For the last five years, she managed an environmental education and outreach program at a California ecological reserve.
Day is no stranger to NOLS. She received her Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification in 2017. She has also written a couple of NOLS blogs and has been featured in The Leader | Spring 2018 - before she ever considered relocating to Wyoming and working for NOLS. She is enjoying the peacefulness and serenity that Lander offers and is looking forward to learning all of the native plants.
