Craig came to NOLS in 2000 having previously worked for outdoor education programs in Australia and Canada. He graduated form the first Alaska Instructor Course. A true internationalist, he has worked mountaineering, backpacking, rock climbing and sea kayaking courses for NOLS in Canada, Mexico, Chile, New Zealand, India, Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Craig began his administrative career as a part time program supervisor in New Zealand, followed by a full time position at the Pacific Northwest. In 2010, he moved into an assistant director role and led the program teams at NOLS Pacific Northwest and NOLS India for the next 5 years. Today, as director, his management portfolio includes operations in Washington State, Oregon, British Columbia, Yukon, India, Sweden and Norway. Though Australian by birth, he has called Vancouver, Canada home for over 20 years. As a new Canadian, he enjoys playing hockey, and living in Vancouver, loves the mix of urban culture and access to year round outdoor activities.
