Bekah is a Washington transplant who made her way to the Mountain West in the spring of 2018. While attending Seattle University, where she earned her B.A. in Public Affairs, she started going on trips with SU's Outdoor Adventure Recreation program and began expanding her love for the outdoors. She got hooked, and became a student trip leader for the last two years of her undergrad while also working as a summer camp counselor for Outdoors for All Foundation, an organization that specializes in adaptive outdoor recreation for adults and children with disabilities. Upon graduation, she moved on to be a seasonal sea kayak guide and outdoor educator in Washington. and Alaska before making her way to Lander, WY with the intent of weaseling her way into NOLS some way, somehow. Amazingly enough, it worked!
