Aimee often has trouble deciding whether to play outside or stay indoors with a stack of good books. Originally from suburban Chicago, she earned her BA in English and Religious Studies from Purdue University and spent a year studying theology in Scotland. After graduation, she worked a string of odd jobs while exploring wild corners of Colorado, Alaska, British Columbia, and Montana. Books eventually lured her back to complete her MA in English at Montana State University in Bozeman. Aimee relocated to Houston with her husband and worked in nonprofit development for seven (humid) years. She ate tons of Tex-Mex, successfully resisted use of the word "y'all," and missed the mountains like crazy. Moving to Wyoming in 2018 felt very much like coming home. She still spends too much time reading but balances that sedentary habit with marathon training, backpacking, and long walks with her Great Dane.
