Join this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from NOLS - the same organization that leads expeditions for NASA, U.S. military special forces, and the top business schools in the nation. This is so much more than a vacation.
Make this spring break one to remember. Watch the sun rise over the ocean as you check the tide. Go snorkeling beside coral reefs and hiking in the rugged hills of the coastal desert. Fall asleep listening to waves against the shore. Take a break from your hectic routine to enjoy Baja’s turquoise water and famed coastline.
On this course, you’ll build the outdoor skills you need to plan your own kayaking trips. Learn the basics, like paddling, rescue techniques, and how to practice Leave No Trace while camping on the beach. Explore tide pools teeming with marine life and go fishing from the shore. As you travel, you may also have the opportunity to practice your Spanish language skills with local communities and learn about their way of life.
This expedition isn’t just about gaining outdoor experience. It’s also about learning leadership skills with a new group of friends—outside the classroom. Build your communication and problem-solving skills as you encounter new challenges on the water, like quick-changing weather. Develop your own style of leadership as you take on different roles within the group. In just a week, gain real-life skills and unforgettable memories.
