Southwest Spring Break Hiking

Get away from school and classes to explore the golden grasslands and rocky mountains of the Galiuro Wilderness this spring. For a week, you’ll practice the basics of wilderness living, from cooking on a camp stove to properly packing a backpack. As you travel through the backcountry, you’ll develop leadership skills, like decision-making and teamwork, through the daily excitement of exploring a new environment and working with your group to achieve your goals. You might even glimpse a black bear along the way! By the end of the week, you’ll be ready to start exploring on your own backpacking trips. If you want to spend your spring break building your wilderness living skills in an incredible, unique environment, then this is the course for you.
