COVID-19 UPDATE (May 12, 2020)

At this time, we have decided to postpone this course until January 2021.

NOLS is carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation and continues to work in close consultation with public health experts, peer organizations, and our educational partners as we make decisions to support the health and well-being of our students, staff, and faculty. Follow the latest information on our Travel Notices page.

The New Zealand Instructor Course will build on the technical outdoor and leadership skills you already have during a 23-day sea kayaking and hiking expedition. During the course, you will have opportunities to fine-tune your teaching skills through an in-depth examination of the NOLS curriculum. *Only those with the permanent legal right to work in New Zealand are eligible.
