Become a wilderness educator with NOLS. The New Zealand Instructor Course will build on the technical outdoor skills you already have as you fine-tune your teaching skills through an in-depth examination of the NOLS curriculum. *For citizens of New Zealand and Australia.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2017 INSTRUCTOR COURSE

  • We will begin taking applications for the 2017 instructor courses in mid-May, 2017.
  • The application deadline for 2017 instructor courses is 30 June, 2017. Deadline extended until 9 Aug, 2017.
  • Applicants will be notified by 10 July, 2017. Applications received after 30 June will be notified on a rolling basis.

Tuition

The tuition is NZD 1,100/ AUD 1,000.

Prerequisites

New Zealand or Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship

Current wilderness medicine or remote first aid certification with at least 72 hours of instruction

Basic adult CPR certificate with 4 hours of instruction

Minimum age is 21 years
